Description
If peace and solitude are what you seek then look no further. You'll truly enjoy the serene mountain surroundings of Estes Park in this lovely home that comfortably sleeps 8. This piece of paradise feels remote but is only a short walk on the paved sidewalk to the downtown shops, natural food store, restaurants and Performance Park Ampihtheater. It is also within walking distance of hiking trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. From the wrap-around deck you'll be able to sit back, relax, savor the mountain air, birdwatch, and take in the spectacular views of Old Man Mountain (a special place that has been used for meditation by Native Americans for at least 5000 years). It is an easy walk from the house to Old Man Mountain.

This mountain home, surrounded by majestic pines, features knotty pine ceilings, exposed wood beams, and brand new windows and sliding glass doors throughout. On the upstairs level you'll enjoy a comfortable living room with a wood stove set in a stone masonry hearth. You can get cozy by the fire in the leather furniture and view the wildlife in your private backyard through the sunny windows. There's also a television with cable and free high-speed internet for your use.

Just outside the sliding glass doors from the living room is a private patio with a gas grill. You can also cook great home-cooked meals in the complete kitchen with a large tiled island, oak cabinets, dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and wafflemaker. The dining room is located just off the kitchen and the table comfortably seats 6 to 8 people.

The gorgeous master bedroom has a king Poster bed with luxury bedding, knotty pine floors, and windows with mountain views. The second bedroom has a Mission queen bed and furniture. The bathroom features a forest theme and offers a bathtub, shower and beautiful tiles walls and floor.

On the lower-level there's a large family room and sitting room with 2 fold-out beds and lots of games for your enjoyment. Just off the family room is a nicely tiled bathroom that has a walk-in shower. Also on this level, is a washer and dryer available for your use. Outside, the large driveway area offers lots of off-street parking.

This is the perfect retreat for nature lovers and is conveniently located within walking distance of trails and town. We think you'll agree that this special mountain home will make your next Estes Park vacation a memorable one. 3-night minimum.

For a 3 or 4 night stay, an $85 house keeping surcharge will be added to your total booking.

This house was very wonderful! The inside is a beautiful surprise! When we first drove up there was a gorgeous young buck nestled in under the deck. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view.

Margaret from New Fairfield, CT writes:
What a wonderful home and jumping off point to hike to the top of Old Man Mountain! The accommodations were perfect-- a home away from home for the five of us. This is a great location!

Vicki from Urbandale, Iowa writes:
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your great home! The house was perfect for our family's needs. The artwork is beautiful and everything was lovely. We have been to Estes Park many times and your home was the best!

Teri from Arlington Heights, IL writes:
Thank you for providing such a beautiful setting for our "girls getaway". We have enjoyed every moment and wish it could be longer! Six of us gathered here to commune with nature and each other. How fantastic to see all the wildlife as we sipped coffee on the deck, then head for the mountains only a short drive away. We were lucky to have perfect weather every day and a perfect place to hang our hats. We hope we can come back to enjoy again!

Susan from Ocracoke Island, North Carolina writes:
Everyday was a wonderful experience! Your home is beautiful and comfortable. I've seen elk up close, wild turkey, black squirrels, and deer. On the morning we left, our gift was seeing a bobcat right outside the back sliding glass door! You can't help but feel you are a part of nature. We have many fond memories of our Christmas in the mountains!

Aimee from San Antonio, Texas writes:
Our time in Estes Park was truly magical! We enjoyed many days of hiking, biking, flyfishing, rafting, and so much more. Your home was very comfortable and located in a perfect spot. There were many mornings when we were able to enjoy watching the wildlife right from the comfort of the family room--you have many visitors!
