Winter Festival and Winter Trails Snowshoeing

    There’s more than one way to experience outdoor winter fun. Many find the thrill of walking in the snow in pristine areas far outweigh any other outdoor experience. For those interested in learning how to experience nature outdoors, Winter Trails Day in Rocky Mountain National Park on January 16 is the answer.

    Information about snowshoe excursions is available, as are free equipment trials, winter safety presentations, outdoor product demonstrations, and expert advice on the fitting and selection of snowshoes.

    Winter Trails Day will be held at the Park and Ride lot adjacent to Bear Lake Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. All activities are free.

    But that's not all. The town of Estes Park is featuring a Winter Festival from January 15 - 18, with Snowman building, Art Gallery Walks, Horse and Carriage Rides, Scavenger Hunts, a Chili Cook-Off with Wine and Beer, and Live Music. There's fun for everyone in the family.
