There is plenty of land to explore and enjoy or you can just sit and take it all in.

This rustic cabin property is secluded and inviting and includes many areas to relax and unwind from your travels. There are rock outcroppings to enjoy and climb and even larger rocks that provide seating, along with outdoor furniture for dining and gatherings. PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS NO GAS GRILL.

As you enter this cabin with knotty pine walls and mountain furnishings, you realize that you have surely arrived in the Rockies. Your mountain adventures begin here. The kitchen is equipped with items to create a simple breakfast or a 6-course Thanksgiving dinner. From a Keurig coffeemaker and Black and Decker drip coffeemaker, to bowls, a mixer and crockpot; everything is right at your fingertips.

The main level offers a bedroom with a gorgeous Queen bed made of mixed woods and a matching mirror. There is ample space with a chest of drawers and a large closet. Just around the corner is the guest bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The Great Room opens to a large dining room and living room. The dining table can comfortably seat 6 or 8. The sliding doors open to the deck, more seating and stunning views of Longs Peak, Twin Sisters and the mountains of the Continental Divide. A 7 foot stuffed bear welcomes you to this cabin.

The cozy Living Room has a couch and matching armchair and 2 glider rockers. There is a flat-screen TV, DVD/CD Player and Cable for your enjoyment. This cabin also includes WIFI and a Weber gas grill.
The elk chandelier, warm lighting, wall decor and the Mr. Sheriff Stuffed Bear all add to the character and mountain ambiance of this living room and rustic cabin.

The second Queen bedroom is located off the living room, on the main level with knotty pine walls. It has a private entrance to the great outdoors and a bathroom complete with shower and washer and dryer.

On the second level is a large open loft. In this loft is a Queen bed. The TV here is provided only to watch movies. There are numerous novels and several games offered for your enjoyment. A desk is here, if needed. There is a full sleeper located in this loft as well.

The sliding glass doors to this upper deck provide light and amazing views and even more outdoor seating. From every window in this home is a picture-perfect landscape.

This cabin is located on the historic MacGregor Ranch. Its colorful history dates back to 1863 with stories of cowboys, ranchers and local squabbles and riffs. The Ranch still functions today.

Quiet getaway in the mountains.

Wonderful cabin in the woods. Loved the location--and all the amenities in the cabin. We loved everything. It was nice to only be 10 minutes from town and 15 minutes to great hiking. We loved how peaceful it was--great views--and just relaxing. Highly recommend.

We had such a lovely time at the Gem Lake retreat! The cabin is very well stocked from the kitchen with everything you need to cook just about anything to the many extra pillows in the bedroom.
The cabin is very cozy and yet we all had space to be alone at times and read or just look at the beautiful scenery. The two decks were so awesome and we were able to view the fireworks over the lake in Estes on the 4th of July from the top cabin deck.
The proximity to town was perfect. Only five minutes to the local grocery store, coffee shops, and other shopping. It was a lovely place to call home in the woods!

Great location, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get to it quickly. Clean

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for preparing meals and the trout we caught at the Trout pond. The kids 'rock' climbed in back of the cabin. We had a great time.
Would rent again in a heart beat.

I wish to thank Estes Park Central Vacation Rental for providing three homes for our family vacation. Lynn Kieffer helped me in finding three rental homes. Our main meeting place where the majority of us stayed was the Secluded Rocky Mountain Home that worked out wonderfully for us and a meeting location in the evenings. The MacGregor Ranch Retreat, where a daughter, her husband and four young boys stayed, was a perfect fit. And the Rustic Rocky Mountain Retreat provided a good location for our son’s family. Thank you Lynn, and Estes Park Central, for making our week vacation as good as it could possibly be.

The cabin is nice and the view is absolutely beautiful. It was a very nice place. Out in the country, yet 10 min from town.
